Engaging your staff in the provision of person-directed care is your greatest asset, and a critical component of culture change in nursing homes and assisted living/residential care facilities. In this session, we will examine how to establish a workforce environment that engages employees in such a dynamic way that you in turn improve the quality of services you provide to your residents.
We will first examine how to engage, manage and develop your staff as well as how to build an effective and supportive workforce environment. Then participants will employ these principles to improve a clinical practice.
Several exercises will help participants analyze their current status in these areas and implement future action plans.
